2017 Annual Meeting Focuses on the Future

This year in lieu of a formal Annual Meeting event this year we spent time with our board in strategic planning. During this time, staff members Jo Suess and Amanda Polacek unveiled the new United Way worldwide impact initiatives: Childhood Success, Youth Success, Economic Mobility and Youth Success. These four pillars are a good representation of the priorities of the Columbus Area United Way and will be used in future communications materials.

Then the board went through an exercise to identify key program metrics currently being tracked by our current partners and programs. Working with our partner agencies over the next few months, we hope to be able to better synthesize and report some of the incredible being accomplished by these partners, along with our direct programs, and share it with the community on a more regular basis.

Finally, we said goodbye to some wonderful board members and welcomed some new ones.
