Financial Stability – Job Relevant Skills

Our Strategy Assisting our neighbors in poverty is multifaceted.  Providing the basic needs of food and shelter are met is the first step.  Identifying ways to improve the financial stability of low-income families is the next.  By developing life skills and improving employment, individuals are empowered to earn a living wage and provide for their family.  The Columbus Area United Way also focuses on connecting people to the resources already in place, providing the stability needed to stay out of crisis.

Under the Financial Stability Pillar, funded partners and direct programs will focus on:

  • Basic needs of food and shelter are met
  • Develop life skills
  • Improve employment
  • Connect people to resources
