The Columbus Area United Way began celebrating our 75th Anniversary with the 2016 Annual Meeting at the Elks Country Club. 2015 Board President Larry Anderson gave an overview of the last years activities at the United Way.
Financial reports on the General Fund and Endowment were given by Cristal Menke, Finance Committee Chair, and Dick Casey, Endowment Committee member. Jeff Johnson, 2015 Drive Chair reported on the year's campaign and thanked 2016 Drive Chair Shawna Hilbert and all the volunteers for the hard work put into a successful campaign. Shawna Hilbert announced Joe Steffensmeier will serve as the 2017 Drive Chair.
Larry Anderson and Mary Novotne, 2016 Board President, thanked outgoing board members Connie Hellbusch, Brett Bonwell, Erik Hash, Tim Kayl, and Dan Keiter for their work on the board. Craig Kucera, chair of the Nominating Committee, presented nominations of new board members for election: John DiMambro, Chad Gonka, Rich Jablonski, Sarah Pillen, and Joe Steffensmeier. The slate of officers for 2016 were also presented: 2016 President Mary Novotne, 2015 Vice President Jaci Tessendorf; and Secretary-Treasurer Pat Heimes.
