COLUMBUS AREA UNITED WAY HONORS DONORS, EMPHASIZES IMPORTANCE OF DONATIONS WITH INCREASING COMMUNITY NEED
Columbus- On July 20th, Columbus Area United Way welcomed more than 65 Leadership givers to their annual Bridgebuilder Dinner to thank the donors that gave generously to the 2025 campaign. Individuals who donate more than $500 to the campaign are considered Bridgebuilders and are thought to bridge the gap between increasing needs and available services in our communities.
Drive Chair, Adam Urskoski, shared his “why” for supporting the United Way and the power of showing up for others. He said, “The Bridgebuilder dinner is always a great event - it's the United Way's opportunity to say Thank You to our leadership givers. These individuals play such an important role in the success of the United Way campaign, and many have been doing it for 20/30/40+ years. It is because of their generosity that our Partner Agencies can make such a tremendous impact on those in need in our community."
After dinner, attendees watched the 2026 Campaign video, which featured two powerful stories from local individuals whose lives have been transformed through services supported by Columbus Area United Way. One in four people in our community rely on programs funded by Columbus Area United Way. Without the generosity of our Bridgebuilder donors, it would be far more difficult for local individuals and families to access these services.
Attendees also heard that if every Bridgebuilder donor raised their donation by 7%, Columbus Area United Way would reach their campaign goal of $1 million.
