About Our Focus and Programs

Women United launched in 2024, hosting our first public event that October. We invited women of all ages to participate in open‑table discussions designed to identify the challenges women face in our community. Each table was guided by a trained facilitator who captured key insights and later shared them with the full group.

Since then, we’ve hosted six gatherings—three of which were free community events focused on education, and strengthening support networks for local women.

In October 2025, Women United held its inaugural Glam for Good fundraiser. The evening was energetic, and fun as we combined games, celebration, and philanthropy. That first year raised an impressive $7,500 in a single night, contributing to a total of $11,500 raised in 2025. These funds translate directly into impact: enough to provide medical services for 115 students or mental health support for 23 students for up to eight sessions.

The Student Health Fund supports K–12 students who lack insurance, do not qualify for government assistance, or face financial barriers to receiving essential care. The fund covers dental, medical, and vision services. Students are screened by school nurses or counselors, and families are contacted to confirm eligibility—ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.
