COLUMBUS AREA UNITED WAY READY TO KICK OFF 2026

ANNUAL CAMPAIGN IN COLFAX COUNTY

Schuyler- Ready, Set, Kickoff! The Columbus Area United Way will kick off their 2026 campaign in Colfax County on Thursday, May 7th. The volunteer-led campaign committee begins their mission of educating those in Colfax County about the services and programs that are offered in Colfax because of United Way funding with one simple ask, invest in Colfax County.

The dollars raised through this campaign will go to support eighteen partner agencies, providing approximately thirty programs in the areas of Youth Opportunity, Financial Security and Healthy Community. Colfax County volunteer Christina Bywater says, “Your donations to the Columbus Area United Way help our neighbors right here in Colfax County. The pocket change you generously donate at participating businesses, and your workplace payroll deduction is so appreciated! Your donations help to put food on the table for struggling families, they help a child learn to read by supplying books through Imagination Library, and support youth organizations like Scouting America.”

In 2025, approximately 850 Colfax County individuals received services because of the dollars raised in our local communities. 98% of every dollar received from the campaign goes directly back to serving those in our communities that need it the most. Last year, almost $300,000 in services were provided to those in Colfax County.

Bywater adds, “When you give back to your community, everyone wins."
